Nokia have just announced their latest handset, the Nokia 6788. This is company’s first TD-SCDMA compatible mobile phone. That abbreviation stands for China’s home-brewed 3G standard, which works on top the regular GSM network but evades licensing fees that are mandatory when using UMTS and HSDPA technologies.

Measuring 105.6 x 54.9 x 18.9 mm, the Nokia 6788 is on the chubbier side however its feature pack is a good excuse for that size. We can hardly think of a feature that’s not on the spec list (save for the Wi-Fi support, but that’s carrier-specific requirement).
